Patient profile.
Mr Steven Chan, a 66-year-old male, awoke in the middle of the night and fell when he tried to get up to go to the bathroom. He fell because he was not able to control his left leg. His wife took him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with an acute ischemic stroke. The stroke protocol was followed and Mr Chan has now been admitted to the acute stroke unit.
