The WEST London health club has undertaken major renovations and wishes to have a new system for the booking and managing their various classes and services they offer. The health club has 3 studios with the capacity (20, 30,20) for running their classes as well as a GYM. The classes are scheduled in general for one hour. For health and safety reasons the number of members in any of the studios or GYM should not exceed the allowed capacity. The number of people in the Gym should not be beyond 80. There are different levels of membership (only Gym, off-peakGYM+classes, peakGYM+classes). Students and OAP get 30% discount. The membership is paid either on a monthly or yearly basis. It is also possible for non-member to buy tickets a ticket for classes. They currently use an old-style system that is slow and cumbersome, and does not meet all their needs. They would like a system that will let a club member book classes up to 3 weeks in advance. However, they want the system to be able to identify the no-show, and issue a fine to those members. The fine will be sent to the member home address. The management would the invoice the membership fee to be issued automatically. They would also like to see a report on the attendance of the classes so that they can take adequate actions.
Using this specification you are required to provide an implementation and associated testing for the outlined system. You may use any language of your choosing and may populate the system with appropriate data you have created for testing purposes.
In addition you are required to produce a report detailing a critical analysis of the system and it’s development. This report should critique the system using software engineering best practices as considered throughout the module.
Documentary evidence (including diagrams, source code, literature references etc) should be provided as appropriate within your report.
The completed software should be submitted. Clear and concise instructions should be provided on how to run the software you are submitting.
