The topic of my dissertation is Mergers & Acquisitions in the Banking Industry. However the methodology, hypothesis and the subject researched is not yet strictly determined. I have only determined very vague description of my thesis which is:

“The aim of my thesis is to focus on mergers and acquisitions, which have been and are taking place in the financial sector. I would like to go into detail of these processes in different countries/markets. I would like to research the characteristics of M&As processes in specific countries and compare them to the other countries. Apart from that I would like to research the impact of M&As on the performance of the subject financial institution.”

I would like to cooperate on the more exact topic of the research with the author as to the hypothesis, research methodology and other more detailed issues. I do not want to limit the author in advance I just want to establish it with the author.

What is very important for me is that I would like to have sufficient time (approximately 1-2 weeks) after every part of the dissertation is finished to show it to my supervisor who will check it. After that I would like to make adjustments according to the feedback from the supervisor and only then we should proceed with another part of the dissertation. I would like not to be limited by 1 month or so because it takes some time after every part for the supervisor to check it.
