Plato, Aristotle and Marcus Aurelius all value truth/knowledge/Knowledge (note the capital K in Knowledge). Yet, Plato bases his Republic, in part, on what he calls a noble lie. Explain this lie and more importantly, why Plato uses it. What, in your analysis of the three thinkers presented, is the role of truth in political life?
