NOTES FOR THE ESSAY: The institutions itself have been a part of england for a very long time and so the gothic style is associated with that, English history. Is the historical aspect that is apealign to people in using the gothic style of architecture. “Gothic revival- that is the fellows deliberately chose Gothic rather than Classical”. ..”Probably arises from antiquarian leaning but also from dislike of radical changes”(pg109)
