Order Description
The world largest garbage dump in Rio was closed in 2012 and replaced by a landfill, but thousands of pickers lost their incomes. The government was going to use the landfill generate electricity and promised to provide jobs and assistants to the pickers.
But the staying power of picker communities and lack of action of the authorities made those pickers life becomes worse.
The task is providing a socially and environmentally friendly waste management system for locals that benefits both pickers and government.
