PART 1:Value and Purpose of Accreditation

In a 2-3 paragraph post, discuss your views on the value, impact, role, etc. of accreditation and regulatory organizations in higher education, no more than 660 words. Include in your discussion current issues and controversies facing accreditors and higher education institutions.

PART 2: Evaluation Plan

Create an evaluation plan to review your new program. Include at least 3 formative measures and 3 summative measures (ideas might include student retention, enrollment, academic performance, employment placement, student surveys, etc.). Include measures at the 1-year and 3-year mark. Indicate the type of measure, what it is intended to measure (learning outcome, program efficiency, student satisfaction, etc.), who will complete the measure, and who will be involved in the assessment of the data and possible revisions of the program. You can complete your plan in a Microsoft Word table, graphic organizer, PowerPoint, or Excel file or any other format preapproved by your instructor. There is no specific length requirement. Any sources used should be cited in APA format.
