Order Description
1000 words excluding references.
Method:
For this assignment, you are required to write an essay of 1,000 words in length (plus references) which reveals how an event or topic in New Zealand history has been represented in nostalgic ways.
To start off with, you can write an introduction of around (50 words) explaining what the purpose of the essay is, and what main ideas you will be addressing.
The next portion of the essay – which should form the bulk of the work – will deal with a particular period, topic, or event in New Zealand history. Describe this, in about 200 words, then devote the remaining 700 words to examples of how it has been represented in nostalgic ways. Examples of topics could be:
-Traditional Maori society
-Settler society in nineteenth-century New Zealand
-Art Deco Napier
-The 1960s and egalitarian New Zealand
You can choose another topic or period if you prefer. When it comes to how a period or event has been represented in nostalgic ways, tourism promotions, advertisements, art, folklore, and some published material can be useful sources to utilise, in addition to published works.
You should try to focus on how nostalgia has affected the way your chosen topic in New Zealand history has been represented.
Finally, you will finish off the essay with a conclusion of (50 words), which sum up the main points of the essay.
Checklist:
It is crucial that your essay meets the following requirements:

It includes a bibliography placed at the end of the essay, listing all the sources used
