Individual PRECIS: You will choose three classes (Ch8,9,10) on which to prepare your individual précis (or critical response). Each Précis will be no longer that 500 words. A précis is a short essay that answers a number of questions concisely and in a readable manner: What is the main question or thesis addressed by the author(s)? How does the author answer the question presented in the piece (what is its approach or methodology)? Succinctly, what is the central argument of the author? Or, what are the main findings the author presents? From your perspective, is the argument convincing? What other questions emerge from the study?
