THEOLOGY OF WORSHIP PAPER

Review all the directions and documents relating to the course project. The subject of the paper is your personal theology of worship. Your ability to identify the key elements in the readings, as well as your ability to personally apply/reflect upon the implications of this material for your specific worship context, is the key determinative evaluation for your grade in this assignment.

The design of the course is deliberately focused upon this key aspect of your evaluation. It is important that you mold this paper into your personal theology of worship. The required outline (see Theology of Worship Paper Directions) is designed to guide you successfully through the research and reflection process.

This assignment should be no less than five (5) and no more than seven (7) pages in length—
typed, Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced, and typed in Word format.

Theology of Worship Paper
? Demonstrate your ability both to read and reflect on the various research texts (both required and selected) and to reflect on how the research and the material from the Cherry text informs your personal theology of worship.
? Express a brief summary of your context of worship (describe your worship services).
? Demonstrate in footnotes and bibliography, a good use of commentaries, Bible dictionaries and/or encyclopedias from credible (i.e., academic) sources and strong engagement with the Cherry text.
? Carefully and deliberately analyze your personal approach to worship, identifying key elements and personal core values from a biblical perspective.
