Each student will write an 15 to 20 pages theme/research paper that deals with one aspect of managed care. The topics for the papers will be assigned by the instructor by the end of the first weekend of class. Papers need to answer the following questions: 1. What is the critical understanding of the topic in the managed care field; 2. How does this topic functions, operate, or applied for member services; 3. What represents strengths or benefits of the topic and what represents potential downsides, challenges, or liabilities of the topic; 4. How does the writer of the paper view this topic in relation to the broader managed care field. The paper needs to follow APA guidelines for scholarly writing.
