Regarded as one of the most influential systems thinking theorists, Peter Senge has identified five (5) disciplines that are necessary for building a learning organization: personal mastery, mental models, building a shared vision, team learning, and finally, systems thinking. Each of these components plays a crucial role in effective organizations; however, without the fifth discipline, systems thinking, the other four cannot be integrated together sufficiently to obtain an accurate understanding of what is really happening in the organization.

Provide a business example illustrating what Senge has inferred in this statement.
