Virgil, Intro pgs. 573-577, The Aeneid, pgs. 620-648.
Answer each question below. Your response for each topic should be no more than 2 paragraphs long, and feature quotes from the text(s) in question.
1. Compare Circe and Dido. How does each woman interact with the heroic protagonist? What do you think Homer and Virgil were trying to say about women with their portrayals of these characters?
2. Compare Aeneas and Odysseus. In what ways do they differ in their relationship to the gods? In what ways are they similar? How does each hero practice virtue?
