ABSTRACT

This study aims to explore what the Hispanic Immigrant in New Jersey perceive God image in their life. At first the definition of the God image is discuss with the four major distinction to God in different measurement. First God is identify as Godself. This implies that God is exist in the people who experience or people who believe they have the experience the God presence. Most theologies affirm that God is divine and assert beyond the human ability to assert or understand God completely. Second God of the book. It was understand by the thinker, theologies and researchers as the author of the book where His identity is on debate of critical mind. Third is the concept of being a model as God. the measurement of God as concept is similar to measurement of other concept. This measurement can be explanatory, which attempt to determine the people belief which is characterize by the comparative attendant in identifying the similarity or difference of God presence and God holiness. The fourth, the God image is working as emotional model for those people who believe. The individual act of God and the distinction between image and concept of God.

According to Nelson and Jones according to Freudian suggestion the God image is exaltation of individual fatherly image. Which they constructed the statement of feeling a mother or father image. The research by Gorsuch who literally wrote the book using the factor analysis which he use three factor analysis to sound like a factor that will answer the people perception in God Image.

This study also discuss the migration insident in USA, labor migration and the Migration in New Jersey. In discussion social migration in USA it shows the migration is because of the country stability which they see a great opportunity to help themselves and their family. As recorded in Census, migrant mostly going to New Jersey rather than other states. Because they see the new Jersey has the promising cost of living. The education system in this state is advance compare to other state. People are enjoying tax priveleges such as no sales tax and property tax. Majority of Immigrant in New Jersey are Hispanic Immigrant. Many factors influence the decision to change residences, but usually the primary reason is related to housing – a desire for newer or more affordable housing or for a different type or size of housing unit. The built-out nature of the older, urban counties means that the supply of housing units of all types is constrained, which pushes up prices and forces many buyers to look farther out into the suburban fringe. This is especially true for buyers or renters seeking new construction. Rising property tax rates in older communities also help chase people to outlying suburbs. The lack of housing variety in much of exurban northern New Jersey

The study is focus on the Hispanic Immigrant in New Jersey where they measure how they perceive the God image by using God Image Inventory Instrument. This study is focus on 263 respondent who are from small companies in New Jersey. The respondent answer was gathered during their lunch break in order to have their convenience and have an ample time to answer and asked question to the proponent. Male and female are 51.71 percent and 48.29  percent of the total 263 hispanic immigrant in New Jersey. Most of the Hispanic Immigrant are married, and majority of them are under the age of 36 – 40 years old. Most of the Hispanic Immigrant went to New Jersey in between the year 2006 – 2011.

In this study the proponent collect the God image inventory among Hispanic Immigrant in New Jersey. Most of the respondent believe that God notice them in any way. They feeling God presence at all time. They also believe that their life will never be the same if God is not with them. They believe that is always awake to help and assist them in their need. They believe that God is always there for them in any way. They believe God is kind and just most of the respondent believe that if they did something wrong God will turn His back to them. Most of them believes that if they follow God command there something good happen to their lives. They believe that God will blessed them as reward in doing what is good and pleasing to his eye. They also believe that God is their friend, and defender. They believe that God will lift them up in times of problem and trouble. According to majority of the respondent believes that God want them to achieve success and develop their own life. They also believe that in every people challenges God allow this to happen. According to respondent God want them to be  a better and strong person. Because strong person will achieve God wills. Most of the respondent believe that God is informal and approachable God. people can call them anytime nd grant wishes that will make them progress and never harm them. People believes that they can see God in many things. This shows that most of the respondent has a strong faith and believe God is anywhere. They see themselves as powerful because of God, they believe God give them strength and shield them in any thing bad event happen in their lives. Respondent believe that God want them to achieve anything good in their life. They also believe that God is in control of human life. God can do good things and bad things, because of His divine power. Hispanic Immigrant believe that God has no direct participation in human life he is just an observer. There are two factor appears in this sentence, first God has no direct participation because people cant see how he moves, and people is just observer. Because remember God gave us right to choose to do right or wrong. God let people to decide in their own path.

The God Image inventory tend to answer the perception of people in God Image. Most of the Hispanic Immigrant believes that God is a very powerful God as His image. He inspired people in every thing they do. They found themselves that they cant live without God. they also believe that God intention is make them good and prosfer. People believe God as powerful and has the ability to do good and bad things in people life. They believe that without God life is not worth and they cant live the same life. People believe that God is always there for everyone. He want everyone to succeed and prosper, anyone to have a good life. They also believe that God is a father image. He punish people  who do wrong and turn his back to them, believe that God is merciful and compansionte God. He has the power give good things as a reward for the job well then and punish people who commit wrong. He provide challenges in people life, they believe that through this challenges people will be stronger and better person. They also believe that this challenges is a life colors. In summary people view God image as a nonformal, loving, caring, and fatherly image. Although this inventory include the possible description of God divine power but still people view them as friend and someone who can they rely on.
