should the government legislate against the ability of parents to punish their children by physical means?

Paper details:

This is a research paper which is due by next week but for now I only need to do the annotated bibliography. The resources should be 12 sources and only from the college library(I will give you the password) so it will be
1.at least one book(either e-book from library or any book online by citation)
2.academic journals (at least 3)
3. magazines
4. newspaper
5.websites
6.reference
all from library website except book is ok either way
from 12 sources I need 6 for and 6 against about topic( it should be about united states and you can find anywhere else that is against with it and compare together)
