The main body of the report should start by briefly describing the chosen project (The Building of Shard (London)).
The assessment should cover the following aspects:
•identify the interests of the project stakeholders
•assess the opportunity which the project addresses and the development site
•assess the risk factors internal and external to the project
•assess the institutional and regulatory issues
•assess the strategic and local impact dimensions of the project
•evaluate the cost/benefit of the project
•apply knowledge and demonstrate appreciation of financial valuation of development projects
•review the efficiency and effectiveness of the ‘front-end’ development process by which has been brought forward
•Make recommendations about how the ‘front-end’ development process could or should be improved.
The main report should be supported by appendices to as great an extent as is necessary to give credibility to the analysis.
