Develop a public health intervention to
address one of the following topics:
1. Obesity prevention
2. Sexually transmitted disease prevention
3. Prevention of substance abuse or addiction
4. Controlling or preventing hypertension
5. Infectious disease prevention
6. Promotion of better mental health
7. Medication safety within a specific population group
8. Maternal health promotion
For each topic, choose a specific public health concern, health region, and at-risk
population group. The first presentation provides background on the problem you intend
to address; your second presentation describes a planned intervention. This might be a
health promotion program, a community-wide initiative or a broader policy intervention,
depending on the problem.
