Pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and drug interactions
The fundamentals of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and drug interactions need to be applied to clinical practice. For this assignment, you will apply the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and drug interactions to evaluate a clinical case study. Read the case study involving pharmacokinetics and drug interactions and answer the questions following the case study.
Ginni Rose is a 57-year-old Native American who has come to the neighborhood clinic today complaining of being dizzy this past week. She also states that she fell and bruised her right arm. Ginni Rose is overweight with a BMI of 25 and a medical history which includes hypertension and type 2 diabetes. Her blood pressure during the clinic visit was 85/55.
