Each course in the nursing curriculum is to have a project that the student can use as part of their school portfolio. This is an example of your exemplary work and may be used to show future employers. Faculty of Nursing 2053 has elected this work to be a developmental binder. The binder will count as points towards your total course grade.

Objective of assignment:
The first three course objectives describe how students use pediatric growth and development in communicating with children and families, promoting health and to educating families about normal childhood growth and development.
1. Integrate the nursing process along with the concepts and theories of growth and development to promote health in children and their families from diverse populations.
2. Integrate knowledge of growth and development to achieve effective, therapeutic, and age-appropriate communication with children and their families.
3. Appraise the child and his family’s learning needs in order to promote health and support growth and development.

Contents of binder:
Your binder should be divided into five major sections:

• Toddler
• Pre-School
• School Age
• Adolescent

Each major section should be divided into additional sections:

• Developmental theorist
