ECONOMIC EVALUATION

Create an appropriate case study that lends itself to the type of economic analysis you’ll be assigned to preform ( CUA); 2) utilize an appropriate methodology in the completion of your CUA; and 3)
write-up the results, conclusions, and recommendations. More detail regarding each component is presented below for your review and action. The setting for the case study must be within the health
care or related industries, for example, hospitals, urgent care, and the like. The case must be realistic and incorporate supportable assumptions, which are necessary to complete your CUA (e.g.,
revenues, expenses, inflationary effect, discount rates, volume, outcomes, etc.). It is important to keep in mind that not all forms of economic evaluation are applicable in all scenarios, so to
develop a suitable case study, you must have a well-developed understanding of the type of economic evaluation they’re assigned. In all cases, regardless of the economic analysis to be performed,
there will be at least one alternative being considered by the leadership team. That alternative or alternatives (depending on the type of analysis assigned) can be either clinical or non-clinical
in nature and should cost at least $5,000 (USD) to implement.
It is important that you provide a background section (synopsis of the case), methodology section, assumptions section, data collection and analysis section, findings section, conclusion section,
and recommendation section. The report of findings will be prepared as a Microsoft Word document and include an Executive Summary. You are expected to properly include in-text citations for your
sources and prepare a list of references consistent with the APA Manual (6th edition).

 

 

Scenario case study: 60 patients who are all heroin addicts; 30 patients will use CPR and 30 will use Narcan. Which is the better solution, Narcan or CPR, which is a better approach or lifesaver
for these patients. Please show data for quality adjusted life year (QALYs).
