The list of moral standards below can be used, where appropriate, to help structure the investigation.

1 Core Values

4 Utilitarianism

Will society ultimately benefit? Does the outcome maximise utility (e.g. happiness, welfare, satisfaction of desires or pleasure) for the most number of people?

5 Kantianism

Can the action be universalised? How would I feel if I were in the other person’s shoes? (i.e., reversibility). Am I using others as merely a means to an end? (i.e., without respect) Is the rationale for taking such action consistent with actions taken in the past, and those made in the future?

6 Moral

Rights Are rights (e.g., life, health, safety, information, shareholder property rights) being infringed? 7 Justice Is the process or outcome fair?
