Roberta Ray is a 27-year-old with a history of recurrent miscarriages. She was in the Obstetrician’s office last week for confirmation of her pregnancy. She is now 8 weeks pregnant. Her OB history
is negative for infection or gynecological problems. She is a G 3 T 0 P 0 A 2 L0. Her blood type is A and RH negative. Today she came into the emergency room accompanied by her husband. Her chief
complaint is sharp stabbing pain in left lower abdomen and pain in her shoulders. An hour before she came into the ER she started spotting. She is also complaining of dizziness. She told you “I am
so scared I am losing another baby.” Her VS on admission; 97.8 HR 100, RR 24, BP 100/62. On your physical exam you note skin pale cool to touch, abdomen rigid. painful. She rates her pain 9 on
scale 1-10. Her peri-pad has moderate amount of dark red blood. She had a transvaginal ultrasound that showed no intrauterine pregnancy and ruptured left fallopian tube and collecting fluid in the
