To learn the trend curve which is used to specify future trends, in other words, the upward or downward fluctuations in demand for an item.
Context: Usage of a trend curve ensures you create successful product, assortments or design. Pg. 102 introduces this concept. While the exercise may be completed at any level of detail, it is usually best to choose something that is neither too broad or too narrow. For example, women’s fashion may be too broad and women’s earrings may be too narrow; but, women’s accessories may work great for this exercise.
Assignment: Choose and define a product category in which you are going to research/analyze. Then, plot at least 6 trends on a trend curve (aka. buying-selling curve) according to the 6 substages of innovation, rise, acceleration, general acceptance, decline, and obsolescence. While some of these may be subjective, please supply at least 2 sources (one primary and another secondary) to support your conclusions. As example, a primary resource would be a photo you have taken in the field and a secondary resource would be a link to an article you referenced.
4. Select a moral problem of your choice: explain the problem, then show how Christian ethics (Aquinas’ natural law ethics) would approach the problem.
