Male’s greater control of resources and how it has shaped human society

This is the question that needs to be answered:
From a cross-cultural perspective, men typically have greater access and control over resources. Why did this unequal balance of power happen in human populations? In addition, how do the lives of men and women, their families, and society change when males are in control over resources compared to times when females have resource control?

The minimal requirements are:
1. A cross-cultural comparison of two or more cultures is required for this paper. The two cultures need to be found outside the U.S. Once you have two cultures, people living within the U.S. can be incorporated into the paper. However, you are still required to cite your sources for information about the U.S. population.

2. No personal experience. This is a paper that requires you to support your answer with research from the academic literature.

3. Sources: You are required to use a minimum of 5 sources from any combination of peer-reviewed journals (a.k.a scholarly journals), ethnographies, or eHRAF. Do not use the following: movies, video clips, magazines, blogs, newspapers, lecture notes, class textbook, or anonymous works.

4. References: You will need to cite in the body of the paper and on a reference page. You should include a standard in-text citations and reference page (APA or MLA format) for the material and the basic retrieval statement for an on-line database.

5. Originality Report (Similarity Index): The originality report generated by Turnitin must be below 10% (the reference page is not included in the calculation). If you have several direct quotes, the percent will increase. You will need to write the quoted material in your own words and include a citation.
