Leadership Self Assessment Paper: Scan the Northouse text. You will note chapters 2 through 16 explore multiple leadership theories. Identify two theories of leadership from these chapters and complete the questionnaire at the end of your selected (two) chapters. Develop your formal paper by using the grading criteria topic as heading. The content within each of the heading should address all of the elements outlined in each section of the grading criteria.
1- Introductory Paragraph(5pts)
A- Identify what two theoretical frameworks (out of the Northouse text) you decided to use to evaluate yourself.
B- Explain why you chose these two theories.

2- Primary Concepts (10pts)
Explain each of the primary concepts of each of your selected theories.

3- Discussion of Results (20pts)
Describe each of your results (be specific) from taking the two tests/questionnaires and analyze what the ranking indicated.

4- Strengths and Weaknesses (20pts)
A- Discuss what strengths and weaknesses you discovered in your leadership style (Do Not discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the theories).
B- Identify and explain the opportunities you discovered that need improvement your leadership style.
This section (strengths and weaknesses) should be characteristics determined by taking the two leadership self assessment questionnaires

5- Theory Application (20pts)
Based on what you have learned about your own leadership strengths and challenges from this assignment, Choose ONE of the following questions to address, explaining how you would handle the given scenario in a new way as a result of taking the two self assessments from the Northouse book.
1. Reference Chapter 23 of the Yoder-Wise text – Modes of conflict resolution includes avoiding, accommodating, competing, compromising, and collaborating. Please take and score the conflict self assessment on page 437-439 of the Yoder-Wise text. Discuss which of the five approaches do you not use often enough and which do you tend to overuse in your own work setting? Include an example. Based on what you have discovered about your own leadership strengths and challenges,
2. Reference Chapter 24 of the Yoder-Wise text – Every Nurse Manager must at some point deal with one of the following personal and/or personnel problems including absenteeism, uncooperative or unproductive employees, immature employees, clinical incompetence, emotional problems, chemical dependency, and incivility. Read about these issues in the chapter and based on what you have discovered about your own leadership strengths and challenges, discuss strategies you would implement to prevent or correct one of the aforementioned personal/personnel problems in a new way.
3. Reference Chapter 25 of the Yoder-Wise text – Nurse Managers and leaders must be able to identify, analyze, and prevent types of workplace violence/incivility. Review: Horizontal Violence: The Threat from Within. Common Subtle Behaviors in Nurse-Nurse Bullying. Based on what you have discovered about your own leadership strengths and challenges, discuss strategies you would implement in a new way to promote a culture of zero tolerance for horizontal violence in your unit or organization.
4. Reference Chapter 26 of the Yoder-Wise text – Irrespective of any nurse’s formal position, he or she must master delegation to accomplish all of the work. Study Figure26-4 on page 499 Box 26-1 on page 501. Based on what you have discovered about your own leadership strengths and challenges, discuss strategies you would implement in a new way to effectively delegate in your own setting/unit.
