Pick a recent and interesting financial scandal; the scandal must be within last five years. Please submit your selection for an approval. Because many of you will pick same scandal for the project, select a few items for an approval. Email me with the selected topic. Once approved, write a paper describing what the scandal was about. Describe what accounts were overstated and/or understated and how they violated the GAAP. Explain why it was an unethical behavior and how it impacted the general public. Include your recommendation to combat such unethical behavior.
