independent research proposal

Order Description
a 2-3 page proposal for an independent research project or directed reading with a faculty member in a field you are applying to. The proposal should be for 2-4 units of independent research, a FRAP application or URCA grant. It should be some kind of independent study that will ultimately contribute to your writing sample for graduate school. Be sure to name a specific faculty member that you want to work with, clearly state your thesis, conceptual approach and the kinds of evidence you will use to support your argument. Also specify the product of your project, what you will produce to get the specific number of units (paper, presentation, documentary film, annotated bibliography, etc.).
