This will be mainly based on proposing the retro fit of existing thermal insulation technologies on all aspects of the buildings envelope including but not restricted to; exterior walls, party walls, floors, roofs, window and door reveal details. There will also be consideration given to ventilation within the living space and structural aspects of the building.
Objectives:
• Appraising key existing theories on the quality of Victorian Terrace housing.
• Analysing the actual thermal qualities of the existing houses in question.
• Evaluating the technologies and techniques that are being and could be used to improve the thermal and air quality of these structures.
