“People are a resource of a business. In fact many organisations’ claim that their people are the most important of all their resources and that the management of them makes a significant difference to business success.
Students are required to produce an essay that identifies HRM Recruitment objectives and employment contracts.
Students must in their own words:
(1) Describe the importance of HRM and describe three HRM objectives.
(2) Briefly explain four laws HRM Recruitment and selection departments must adhere to when recruiting and selecting staff.
(3) Explain four different employment contracts used by four different companies and briefly explain an advantages and disadvantage of each contract.
(4) Explain the term motivation, what managers should do to motivate staff, and the benefits of a motivated workforce.
The resources used in the essay should be cited in the text and referenced by following the Harvard referencing method.

• The assessment should refer to relevant theory and frameworks using the Harvard Referencing system.
• Include authentic academic resources such as books, research articles and research reports.

• Line spacing: 1.5
• Proof reading: must be error free
• Submit through Turnitin, submit hard copies to Academic Services in line with the BCUIC’s hand in procedure and e-mail a copy to your Tutor.
