A careful analysis of the formal and rhetorical elements of the film(the soundtrack, how it’s filmed, the narrative, how the characters contribute to the story, etc.) In order to make an argument for what the director/writer is trying to argue; in other words, if the film is a “marvelous warning,” what does it warn about and how does it make its argument?
