Project description
This essay extends that conversation to the second group of thinkers; Hobbes, Locke, Marx, and Dewey. They introduce and develop the state with an eye toward the ‘social contract.’ We want you to work through these ideas – discuss and analyze them – in order to identify both the potential and the problems associated with them. In doing so, try to frame your comments within the context of today’s social and political circumstances.
