History
Part 1
Visit Faneuil Hall and attend a ranger talk, or The Paul Revere House and take a self-guided tour. Also,
visit any historic house/museum/historic site that you have not visited before and experience the
tour/talk/presentation/walking tour.
Part 2
Go on-line and take a virtual tour of any museum in the world.
Submit a 3 page paper critiquing the two venues you visited and the virtual tour. Each paper will include,
but not be limited to the following:
introduce the sites selected for the paper
overall impressions of a tour/experience/talk
what you thought worked and what didnât work
what was your impression of the guides/presenters
how did the guide/presenter engage or not engage the participants
what was the make-up of the group at each site
were questions allowed
what was the theme of both tours, and how was the theme received by you and the visitors
discuss your overall impression
compare the virtual tour to your experiences at the four historic houses visited during the course and the
two experiences you had for this assignment
