An effective way to get a feeling for the Global Financial Crisis is to look back at old newspapers, magazine articles and blogs from 2006 to 2009 – especially Fall 2008. Post the address of at least one source you feel is especially insightful in explaining why the crisis occured. Be sure to post one article that has not yet been posted and reply to two other students’ comments. In your posts, you can reference either of the two movies (Inside Job and Big Short), events, people, companies, regulations, laws, and/or derivatives that you feel contributed to the Global Financial Crisis. If you want to focus on derivative articles, find any related to these: MBS, CDO, and CDS.
