Gender Artifact

Order Description
Background: I am a U.S. Army veteran that was injured in Iraq, I now am a stay at home parent that cares for my two sons while being a military spouse as now my wife serves in the military. So we deal with gender issues of different roles aside from societal norms. Use the references cites.

First, you should consider your own evolving relationship to gender by creating a tangible artifact representing your gender autobiography (such as a series of images, a Prezi, collage, poetry, video, etc.).

Next, write a 4-5 page critical reflection on your own gendered autobiography that utilizes the insights emerging from creating your artifact and from the readings of Unit 1.

Purpose
The main purpose of this assignment is to give you the opportunity to be creatively self reflective of your own gender (in its full intersectional dimensions). Further, you’ll have the opportunity to see how other students have constructed and interpreted their own gender, giving us a better sense of each other and the multiple contexts we’re working from in this course, which will help form a richer on-line learning community.
