So, I hope I have included everything as required in the forum. The attachment below is the WordDoc of my statistics frequencies, charts, and histograms. The first three tables are the frequency statistics. The second table is the simple data for how many respondents answered each question for my first variable (evstray), which asks the respondents “Have you ever had sex with someone other than your husband or wife while you were married?”, (NORC at the University of Chicago, 2016). Because for my research question, I am interested in if the wife makes more money than the husband, would the husband be more likely to engage in sex with another woman, I am mostly going to be working with the 13.2% of respondents which said that they had have sex with another partner other than their spouse while they were married. The third table is depicting the respondents’ answers for the second variable I will be working with (earnsmor), which asks the respondents, “Who earns more money?” and provides the answer options as “husband, much more”, “husband, bit more”, “same for both”, “Wife, bit more”, “Wife, much more”, “No answer”, and “inapplicable”, (NORC at the University of Chicago, 2016). Moving onto the chart, I decided to make a pie chart because I believe it to be most effective at giving people a visual representation of the data. I find the second set of pie charts the be the most interesting because it clearly shows that there is more infidelity that occurs when the woman makes “much more” than the husband. Every other depiction of who make more is fairly even with each other. The third set of charts/ tables that I have is the histograms. I provided one histogram for each control variable to see how the data looks differently.
