Laboratory and diagnostic tests are an integral component o to diagnose conditions and diseases. Research and evaluate the laboratory or pathology test(s) or procedure(s) – Leukocyte differential (Monocytes, Eosinophils, Basophils).

Your initial discussion post should thoroughly cover the laboratory or pathology test or procedure and include the following information:

a. Test name
b. Specimen needed for the test (blood, urine, etc.)
c. Normal range by patient age
d. Panic level
e. Factors that affect results
f. Typical conditions or monitoring for which the diagnostic test is ordered.
g. A minimum of four conditions or diseases that utilize the test for diagnostic purposes.
