This is an Ethics research paper. The topic I chose to write about is the ethical dilemmas presented towards Steven Avery, who is the main character and protagonist of the Netflix series Making a Murderer. The instructions are to read, listen to, or watch every story on the subject, gathering at least 10 or so stories (I chose for you to do 12 just in case). You’ll likely have to limit your monitoring to coverage by one or two televisions stations, a couple websites, or a source like the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, etc. Analyze coverage emphasizing important ethical concerns, such as bias, values, stakeholders, economic considerations, utilitarianism, deception, etc. Make sure to use various ethics concepts. Don’t forget to analyze images shown in photos and video. Write the results of your content analysis. Results should be 8-10, double-spaced typewritten, with graphs and illustrations, if necessary. Include at least a page or two of introduction to the general ethical issues raised in the study.
