Write a 6- to 7-page expository essay (see: of ANY TWO of the themes covered in weeks 4-6: Sustainable development, Agricultural sustainability, and Economics/Politics. All texts used should be
directed cited multiple times.
Expectations and Grading: Your focus throughout this essay should be on precise reconstruction and comparison of arguments and positions found in the texts studied. You are not expected to use
secondary literature but may do so. This paper will be graded on the following criteria: a) clear and precise opening thesis statement (5pts); b) accurate analysis of the relevant class texts from
weeks 4-6 (15pts); c) ability to differentiate positions and to set out competing evidence for them in a balanced manner (10pts).
