Revision of Segmentation,Target Market,Points of Difference, and Positioning of a Vegan Cereal we are theoretically developing for Kellogs brand.
Order Description
This is a revision of order number #81750484. My professor submitted the following comments based on the assignment submitted:
“Segmentation
The part on segmentation is incorrect. If you select geographic segmentation variable, you need to explain the nature of the geographic variable such as urban vs. suburban vs. rural and then make a
case for which segment is most attractive. Same for behavioral segmentation. Redo this part for the final marketing plan.
Target Market
Again, this is wrong. The purpose of the previous section was to help define the target market. For e.g., based on the choice of geography and behavior above, one could make a case for a target
market that lives in urban areas and is vegan. Of course, it woudl be more helpful if you can define the age range, gender, income, and psychographics of the segment as well. Please redo for the
final marketing plan. Once you define the target market, you would then have to defend the choice based on criteria listed in the milestone 2 description document.
Points of Difference
It seems like being vegan is the only distinguishing characteristic of the product. Do you think this is a difference that can be imitated by competitors easily? Will this product offer a
sustainable competitive advantage to Kellogg’s?”
