Purpose:
To become a more diverse, effective, and aware counselor it is vital to have hands-on experience when learning about and working with individuals from a variety of
cultures, backgrounds, ages, genders, and lived experiences. It will also provide the student with the opportunity to share their own race/ethnicity, culture, values,
traditions, and way of life. The goal of this assignment is to provide students with a direct opportunity to develop and enhance their diversity & cultural awareness as
well as their attending skills in preparation for working with a wide variety of individuals in their upcoming field placement.
EXPECTATION OUTLINES {Format}:
� Typed on the template in the attached document in the exact same format/order
� Single-spaced, size 9 or 10, plain font (ie. times new roman, Calibri), double-sided, proper spelling & grammar
� For the RESPECTFUL Model 10 dimensions you may use the point form
� For the 2 questions after the RESPECTFUL Model, you are required to use sentence form, NO point form/bullet points
REMEMBER: Be specific and detailed in all of your answers and give examples to explain your points!

NOTE: there will be a file sent that you will use in doing the assignment. You have to answer the questions in the table provided. the last 2 parts of the assignment require you to answer them in sentence form.
The assignment is a reflection of my background which is NIGERIA, AFRICA. u have to answer it in respect of the NIGERIAN culture. this assignment does not require
references as it is a personal reflection of one’s culture.
