Order Description

practicum on developing an onboarding system for the Information Technology Services (ITS) department at the University of Michigan. I am to create an onboarding process, and onboarding procedure (checklist), and a power point for them as my final project.

I would like for you to create the process and procedure. The process needs to explain why onboarding is there to maximize success. The process section should be around 10 pages. The remaining pages should be the procedure (checklist). Please apply the techniques, theories, concepts, and research of the fields of OD and HRM.

I would like to see the procedure (checklist) as an appendix at the end. Please provide first day, first week, first month, 3 month, and 6 month goals, follow-ups, and assignments. Assignments would include manager, employee, HR, and admin assistant responsibilities.

The ITS department currently does not have an onboarding procedure. They only have an orientation that is performed every Tuesday afternoon. UofM (company wide) provides a new employee orientation on Monday morning. where they discuss benefits, assign parking permits, fill out an I-9, and give the employee received a company ID card. ITS hires roughly 4-6 people a week
