create what is called an "annotated bibliography." An annotated bibliography includes a brief summary of a reading, as well as a critique or evaluation of the reading.

In this assignment, we will follow the requirements of an annotated bibliography as outlined by the University of Maryland. Please read through the link below, and focus your work on the section entitled analytical or critical evaluation.

Requirements:

* You should research from the MC library, FIVE peer reviewed journal articles on one topic in psychology that is of interest to you to annotate. You may want to skim the textbook for ideas on topics.

* Your citations should be written in APA style. Please see this online resource on how to cite in-text citations in APA style (tip: the library does this for your reference section, see the video above).

*Please follow the style as outlined in the UMUC link above. Please also note their sample annotations. While they use an article from The Economist, you’re required to use journal articles. Each article annotated should be one or two paragraphs MAX. This is harder than it looks as you have to summarize the main points of a very long article, in your own words. You’ll get better at it the more you do it, AND if you’re planning on transferring to a four years school, this is a skill that will help you in your future studies.
