Comunity literacy Academic Essay

This assignment follows the rhetorical analysis model from Everyone’s An Author, and incorporates our broader discussion of literacy that is the foundation of this course. With that in mind, you will be tasked with finding an advertisement (campaign ads, political commercials, public service announcements, charity commercials, movie trailers, etc.) that represents a combination of critical, community, or other literacies and analyze it using the rhetorical principles of ethos, logos, and pathos.

For this unit, your task is to present an analytical paper that responds to the literacy and rhetoric readings we will discuss over the next few weeks. I expect a high level of writing, complete with proper formatting for a rhetorical analysis paper, proper sentence-level diction, syntax, usage, and APA formatting.
discussing major concepts in difficult ways in the coming weeks, and you will need to synthesize the ideas into an analysis paper. The paper will focus on the following:
• develop an argument about a media piece that represents an act of critical or community literacy.
• show an understanding of Knoblauch, Peck, and rhetorical moves like ethos, pathos, and logos in conjunction with one another.
• transition from one idea to the next logically.
