Community education about environmental health, and working with local governments and local community leaders to enhance environmental safety in the community. • Prevention of avoidable diseases and illness and engaging communities in prevention of illness and disease. Community health nursing needs an upstream focus, which includes working with aggregates and communities in activities such as organizing and setting health policy. This focus will help aggregates and communities work to create options for healthier environments with essential components of health, including adequate education, housing, employment, and nutrition and provide choices that allow people to make behavioral changes, live and work in safe environments, and access equitable and comprehensive health care (Nies & McEwen, 2015).
• Incentivizing and supporting healthier employee behavior. Workplace health incentives to promote healthy employees, such as offering employees significant percentages off local gym memberships
• Break down the barriers in obtaining health care and doing away with health inequalities
• Integration of out-of-hospital care
