Categorize your activities. For example, let’s say you have a
help-desk type internship. Categories of activities might be something like ‘End-User Support’,
‘Planned Maintenance’, ‘Software Installation’, etc. Whatever type of internship you have just
consider the activities that you have been logging and consider if they represent different
categories of activities. Generally, you will find that you have engaged in different categories of
activities but in the rare case where you have really done pretty narrowly defined tasks, simply
discuss that (would you have liked more variety?). What percentage of time was spent on each
category (approximately)? What categories did you learn the most from? Which did you enjoy
most/least? How does this affect your thoughts on your future career path?
