This report aims to highlight the behaviors which international students think contributed to their success. To examine this behavior, quantitative or qualitative methods can be used. However
qualitative methods have been applied in our research, because we looking forward the student’s behavior, beliefs, experiences, attitudes and interaction. One instrument ‘semi structured ‘face-to-
face interview were used to gather the information, because we believe the semi structured interviews will help us to elicit the student’s challenges that may face them, behaviors and their
success. Nine participants were asked nine questions in our interviews which was conducted with postgraduate students at University of Leeds and particularly PHD students (see appendix 1).
Generally, these questions focused on the feelings, behaviors, difficulties which encountered the international students. Specifically, the questions examined the behaviors of the participants and
their recommendations to the new international students. The interviewees were from different countries, five participants from Saudi Arabia, three form Chinese and one form Republic of Korea and
from different level of study varied, because it is believed they have different experiences. Interviews lasted between five to ten minutes and each interview was recorded. it tooks place in the
university of Leeds on November 2016. After that the information was analyzed.
