Argumentative Writing Assignment

Order Description
our next major assignment for this course is to write an argumentative paper (which must be completed and uploaded to the designated D2L folder by 10:00 PM on Friday,
April 28th). Here’s a list of the things your need to do to successfully complete this assignment.

First, watch the clip of John Oliver discussing online harassment, which sets up the issue for our writing assignment. WARNING: Some of the content and language in the
video is offensive, so use your best judgment about watching it.

Next, read the Writing Assignment Instructions and Source File. The articles included there are the only sources you will need to complete the paper.

I’ve also posted a number of guidelines and tips to assist you with this assignment. Be sure to read this document thoroughly, as it explains more about the length,
format and organization you should use, the criteria I’ll be using to assess your work, and some common mistakes that you should avoid.

Finally, I’ve posted another document about using sources to assist you as you write. It is helpful to make a chart of all your sources and their main points, and I
have started this task for you. Fill in the rest of the chart and then get to work writing your paper. Once you’ve written your paper, be sure to proofread and edit
your work.
