The progress report
Paper details v Your employer, Adam Schapiro of Nightingale Financial Services, has asked you to submit a progress report to him on your work to date on Carla Johnson’s Stock Performance and Recommendation Report.
The progress report is an internal memo (see the example on p. 168 for format) addressed to your supervisor outlining the work completed to date on the final analytical report. The progress report should be 1.5-2 pages plus a reference page in APA style as well as supplemental material outlined below. The progress report should includ the following:
• Introduction: State the purpose and nature of the project and indicates how the reportthat follows is organized. Do not use a heading for the introduction. • Background: Explain the client history leading to the report. • Work completed: Describe the work completed to date. • Preliminary findings: Provide 3 preliminary findings and incorporate at least two different secondary sources in this section. The preliminary findings provide evidence of progress toward completion of the final report. Incorporate the table displaying the weekly values. • Work to Be Completed: Describe the work yet to be completed. Include a Gantt chart displaying both work completed and work to be completed. • Conclusion: Anticipate problems in completing the research and possible remedies. Affirm the expected completion date of the report. Do not use a heading for the conclusion.
