Student should make preparation notes on your article. In your notes identify:
• The article (source and method of access – online, hard copy etc)
• Does this exemplify any of key concepts in Marxist criminology (make reference to the White, Haines & Asquith reading)
• Who are the stakeholders – this means who might we see as the offender and who might we see as the victim?
• What kind of social or economic power relationships might you be able to interrogate using this example?
Also consider:
• Why is a good example of a exploitation/crime of the powerful/abuse of power?
• What specifically is the offence?
• Did they avoid punishment?
you must then:
1. Summarise your notes into one short paragraph (no more than 500 words) with references in the usual (Harvard) style.

2. Also make sure to post a question to the other students and to reply to at least one of the questions posed by your fellow students.
